I have become an art director. That being said it has been ten years since I started doing art seriously. On this very forum.
2013 discovered Jaime Jones and Craig Mullins, joined conceptar.org and started lifedrawing like mad. Posted art on here often only to be shat on and laughed at.
Improved tons over time, started getting freelance work around 2015. Drew porn and furry also between 2014 and 2018 (it pays so fucking well I would still encourage anyone to do this on the side until they can fill their unabridged working time with improve paid work).
Around 2019 I got my start large freelance customer. Suddenly was making a few thou a month easily. Every now and and then i of their projects needed a large volume of piece of work with curt turnaround, this meant I got a 6-8k thrown at me in one time payments. Felt skilful man.
Late 2021 they said they desire me working inhouse fulltime. I was offered to do a trial run and piece of work inhouse for a calendar month with paid accomodation. Made a good impression and the offering was upped significantly + the title of art managing director slapped on top.
At the risk of sounding full of myself all of the other artists at the visitor kind of suck compared to me. Their fundamentals are weak to nonexistant, they cannot draw or paint to save their life. Feels weird since I had internalised the mandatory /ic/ mantra 'you are always absolute garbage no thing what'. This lead to me studying difficult af and being humble and observant and learning fast, I guess.

I literally do non sympathise the "social media" market place for "illustrators" at all. I have never followed an artist on social media and never will. Particularly not if that creative person wasn't involved in some other project that I was already a fan of. I have no reason to await at their accounts at all. Why would I look at Random Anime Pinup Artist #472616 when there are literally millions of anime daughter drawings already on google and booru sites? Why would anyone care most you lot as an artist at all if there's no story to your work? Information technology makes absolutely no sense to me.

Procreate feels so stampy, you lot tin't pigment things that painterly equally easily every bit you can in photoshop
The more I piece of work on an fine art piece it simultaneously looks more detailed but too more muddled. Eventually I get to semi-shading and it looks difficult to distinguish objects from foreground to background. For example the roof of the tea well pops out best against the empty heaven in the dorsum. But down by the ground everything looks like a graphite blur between natural and man-made objects. This happens with my character art, also. Please critique my work and I will listen closely to any advice. Thanks!
